The Flight of the Angel is an experience not to be missed!
From Borgo La Tana in Maratea, you can head towards the wild heart of Basilicata where the imposing Dolomiti Lucane stand tall, hosting one of the most thrilling experiences in the region: the Flight of the Angel. From May to November, the facilities host millions of visitors.
Following the most picturesque roads of the Lucanian hinterland, after just under two hours, you reach the towns of Castelmezzano or Pietrapertosa, perched on the Dolomite peaks.
From here, a shuttle is ready to take you to experience a truly unique thrill. The two centers are connected by cables approximately one and a half kilometers long at an altitude of one thousand meters.
You literally dive into a journey of a few minutes between sky and earth, during which the luckiest may fly alongside magnificent specimens of falcons or hawks, who usually are the only ones to enjoy these views.
Once landed, or for those who prefer to keep their feet firmly on the ground, the Dolomiti Lucane offer unique scenarios with other activities such as the Nepalese Bridge, the Path of the Seven Stones, or the Via Ferrata.
