Horseback riding excursions

Strolling along a beach under the enchantment of a sunset or riding through the forests and mountain trails of Maratea on horseback is another of the unique experiences offered by the Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Near the Borgo La Tana di Maratea there is a riding school that offers riding courses, horseback riding on paths, roads and on the beach (the beach is not accessible in the summer months) and also refreshments for riders.
Furthermore, thanks to the pleasant richness of the territory and a generous climate, horse riding is one of the sports that can be practiced at any time of the year. Riding their steed, even riders with less experience will be accompanied to live an exciting and unforgettable experience within a setting of incomparable beauty.
If, however, you choose an essentially wild and mountainous route, with the activation in spring 2019 of the Parco delle Stelle Macroattractor between Maratea and Trecchina you can discover the most inaccessible areas near the Valle del Noce. The Parco Le Stelle on Mount Serra Pollino, at an altitude of 1030 meters above sea level, offers breathtaking natural panoramas, allowing views over the coastline of nearby Calabria, its islands, and, with keen eyes, even the volcanic island of Stromboli. Among the various activities to choose from, the park offers the Milky Way: a 800-meter toboggan run that winds through trees and trails, providing the thrill and excitement of a high-speed descent.
