The Pertosa Caves are a set of very particular and unique karst caves at a European level as they allow you to cross an underground river into the heart of the mountain.
The caves run along the Alburni mountain massif for around 3000 metres, the route is full of spectacular colors and natural compositions created by particular stalactites and stalagmites. The Pertosa caves, open since 1932, use a boat towed by a steel cable to visit the first part and then reach the second route to continue on foot.
