Praia a Mare

Just ten minutes away from our hotel, Praia a Mare is a magical town and a beautiful beach resort with persistent scents, intense colours and rich flavours typical of Calabria. If you are a sea lover, we suggest to visit the Island of Dino with its numerous caves, such as the Cave of the Lion, the Blue Grotto and the Cave of the Waterfalls. There are numerous boats that offer tours of the island. The excursion lasts an hour. If you want to know the history of Praia a Mare, you should visit the Sanctuary of Madonna of the Grotto. (Our Lady of the Cave). The sanctuary consists of three caves and contains the statue of Our Lady, patron of Praia a Mare, that was left by a vessel on a rock at the foot of the cave more than 150 years ago. You can also enjoy walking along the boulevard of shops, bars and restaurants, or taking a romantic stroll along the seaside at sunset.
